Our Story

During the summer of 2011 while visiting my hometown of Newport, RI, I met artist, Chris Wyllie. We found independently we wanted to design a boat that could be both a creative outlet and a place for entertaining summer guests. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to work together to make this wildly imaginative daydream a reality.

Little did we know it would take months to find a comparable vessel to the one we dreamt up on a cocktail napkin over dinner at Fluke. After quitting my job in NYC, a few pretty pennies later, countless revisions to design plans and a grueling month of working day in and day out with my brilliant father bestowed upon us the Belafonte.
